John set me up with a great instrument within my budget.  He made sure I had ever thing I needed including the names of a couple of people who could get me started playing my new pal. It is so refreshing to receive this level of personalized service!

The real deal as far as down home folk, blues, bluegrass and other string instruments music. Plenty of strings, picks, books, and instruments. I bought a capo and a few books. There's a bluegrass jam in the basement every Saturday.

This is my go to guitar shop. The guy who runs the place is super helpful and knowledgeable. He'll make sure you don't make some hard rookie mistakes with his experience, and I think there's even lessons, but I can't say for sure. This place is worth it. It can be a little hard to see at first. Look for a house in a row style with a sign out front, on the left hand side of coming from downtown.
